Join a leading Singapore-based precision engineering firm recognized for innovation and quality. We supply high-precision components to key industries and are looking for a diligent QA Technician to strengthen our Quality Assurance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and program CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for dimensional inspections on machined and/or cast parts (experience with Zeiss, Mitutoyo, or Hexagon preferred).
- Conduct thorough incoming, in-process, and final inspections according to engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and internal specifications.
- Accurately record, analyze, and report inspection data.
- Support QA Engineers in investigating non-conformances, performing root cause analysis implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring all tools are in optimal working condition.
- Prepare and update inspection procedures, work instructions, and maintain quality documentation.
- Assist in internal and external audits adhere to company quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Academic Qualifications: - Minimum: NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline. - Candidates with relevant ITE certifications with solid experience are encouraged to apply. - Fresh polytechnic graduates with relevant internship experience may be considered for junior roles.
- Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a Quality Technician or CMM Operator in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment. Proven experience in CMM operation and programming, specifically with Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Hexagon, or similar platforms.
- Technical Skills: - Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), blueprint reading, and dimensional measurement principles. Familiarity with machining and/or casting processes is an advantage. Basic knowledge of quality tools and methods (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) is a plus.
