Job Description

Job Summary

The Fire Protection Quality Surveyor is responsible for overseeing all aspects related to estimation, bill of materials (B.O.M.) take-off, and cost proposals for fire protection systems. This includes close coordination with suppliers, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing, compliance with specifications, and timely submissions. The role also involves evaluating supplier and subcontractor proposals, providing technical support, and contributing to system design concepts, ensuring that all fire protection solutions meet regulatory and project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate supplier and subcontractor proposals to ensure compliance with tender specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare tender proposals, conduct cost analysis, and provide technical support and system design concepts for fire protection systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, consultants, and clients to manage enquiries and ensure timely delivery of information and materials.

Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in tender preparation and cost estimation, with solid knowledge of fire protection systems. Strong network and working relationships with developers, M&E consultants, fire protection installation subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is required. Knowledge of MS Project is an added advantage.
  • Complying with company EH&S policies, procedures and rules, and any applicable regulatory requirement.
