LEARNING OUTCOMES
Interns will gain insight into the inner workings of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and develop an understanding of the regulatory frameworks established by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Additionally, interns will become familiar with various tools utilized in our QMS for managing documents, records, and deviations from protocol. Lastly, interns will have the opportunity to learn about diagnostic laboratory operations via hands on experience and attending various quality management meetings.
Some of the key areas you will be involved in include:
- Assisting the Quality Manager in duties such as the preparation of relevant documentation, quality management reviews, external quality assurance, risk assessment and management.
- Assisting in audit preparation involving all aspects of the clinical laboratory.
- Managing and improving QMS in compliance with MOH, CLIA and CAP standards.
- Providing administrative support to the pre-analytical department in the clinical laboratory as required.
- Providing support in marketing, operations, logistics, and administrative functions as required.
Role Requirements

- Familiarity with quality management and quality control processes.
- Ability to work well in a team and individually, meticulous and a strong desire to constantly improve systems and processes.
- A good understanding of molecular diagnostics, especially cancer genetics and a basic understanding in coding will be an advantage.
