Our client is an established FSO/FPSO asset owner and looking to recruit a Quality lead with exceptional policy writing skills for their newly attained project.
- Salary Range: up to $10,000/month + Completion Bonus
- Duration: 18 months contract +6 months renewal, with frequent travel to China (3 months in China and 2 weeks in Singapore rotation)
Job Summary Lead a team of Supplier Inspection Coordinators to ensure the quality of procured equipment aligns with PO requirements. Establishing project-specific processes and serving as a central contact for client, Project Procurement Manager, and Project Quality Manager on supplier quality matters.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate effective communication with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders on inspection matters to ensure project quality compliance.
- Manage the Supplier Inspection Management Plan (SIMP) for streamlined inspection coordination.
- Oversee the timely handling of Notice of Inspections (NOIs) and inspection reports from Third-party inspectors (TPIs) through package Supplier Inspection Coordinators (SICs).
- Review supplier bids and contribute to technical bid evaluations.
- Provide input to Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and other supplier-related Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) documents to support SICs in document review.
- Resolve inspection process issues by collaborating with SICs, Package Managers, Package Engineers, and the Procurement team.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supplier inspection process with Supplier Quality Management (SQM).
- Develop and manage inspection budget plans and forecasts.
- Monitor Notification of Inspection (NOI) tracker, IRC register, Ex inspection register, etc., for accurate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) data reporting.
- Ensure readiness for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Pre-Release Readiness Reviews, and Inspection Release Certificate (IRC) issuance.
- Plan and execute Ex-inspections and other Inspection Test Records (ITR) inspections according to project expectations.
- Timely identification, issuance, tracking, and closeout of supplier Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas or FSO/FPSO operations.
- Mandatory certifications: CSWIP/AWS, ISO 9001:2015 Lead Quality Auditor.
- Familiarity with international material standards, pressure/process piping and vessel codes, building structural and electrical codes, NDT, welding procedures, and ASME/ANSI codes.
- Proficient in Welding Inspection/Non-Destructive Testing methods.
- Working knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, Classification, and Certification processes.
