Our client, a leading organisation driving large-scale digital transformation initiatives, is looking for a Quality Engineer to help deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing software solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern Agile and DevOps environment, partnering closely with product owners, software engineers, and business analysts to build automated quality assurance practices and continuously improve software delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
As a software quality qngineer, you'll play a key role in embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle by designing effective testing strategies, implementing automation, and ensuring robust software releases.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to define clear and testable acceptance criteria
- Design risk-based testing strategies across complex enterprise applications
- Build, maintain and enhance automated testing frameworks
- Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory and performance tests
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback
- Lead system integration testing across multiple applications
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders
- Manage defects, test artefacts and quality metrics throughout the SDLC
- Continuously improve testing methodologies, automation frameworks and engineering practices
- Support application performance or security testing initiatives
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 4 years experience in software quality engineering or test automation
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and risk-based testing
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing
- Experience testing web applications, APIs and enterprise systems
- Strong knowledge of Agile software delivery
- Experience with one or more of Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework, EggPlant, SikuliX
- Programming experience in one or more of Java, Python, JavaScript, C# will be good
- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bamboo
- Container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Any prior experience in performance testing such as JMeter, Gatling, k6 or Locust, security testing the likes of OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite, API security such as OAuth or JWT , TDD / BDD, Shift-left testing, TestRail, Jira, Micro Focus ALM will be a bonus
- Professional testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTP, CSQA) are advantageous.
