Job Summary
We seek a motivated Quality Engineer to develop and maintain quality control processes in precision machining, ensuring compliance, driving improvements, and collaborating with teams to resolve quality issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure product compliance and continuous improvement
- Perform inspection and testing of machined components to verify adherence to specifications and quality standards
- Liaise with customers on First Article Inspection (FAI) approvals, audits, and complaints to drive corrective and preventive actions
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend improvements for product and process quality
- Support internal and external quality audits by preparing documentation and facilitating audit activities
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues promptly and prevent recurrence
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation including inspection reports, control plans, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions
- Organize and review daily quality records to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
- Manage the calibration program for inspection, measuring, and test equipment to maintain measurement accuracy
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System to meet industry standards and customer requirements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field)
- Basic knowledge of quality tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and 8D problem-solving methodology
- Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other inspection tools
- Able to interpret technical drawings & familiar with GDT
- Knowledge of ISO quality management systems, including ISO 9001
- Familiarity with precision machining processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to quality assurance tasks
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting
