Description
To fuel our ambitious growth, we are looking for a
Quality Engineer to join our Quality team, based in Singapore. In this key role, you will be owning quality across the entire value chain. From evaluating incoming inquiries and supporting onboarding of suppliers, to in-process inspections and final quality checks, you will ensure every part meets the highest standards.
You will work with cutting edge digital manufacturing technologies, collaborate with global partners, and help deliver industry-changing solutions that redefine how spare parts are made and delivered.
Responsibilites
- Evaluate spare parts for the Maritime and Energy industry to determine their suitability for On-Demand Manufacturing from a quality perspective.
- Set the requirements by defining quality requirements, inspection protocols, and testing methods to ensure every part meets client expectations, industry requirements, and regulatory certifications.
- Collaborate and innovate with our engineering, business operations, manufacturing team along with our certified manufacturing network, supporting from procurement through to delivery to ensure projects are supplied on time and with uncompromising quality.
- Drive quality excellence by implementing and improving the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance and fostering continuous improvement across teams and our certified manufacturing network.
- Lead and execute quality audits to maintain compliance, improve performance, and foster a culture of excellence throughout the value chain.
- Guarantee excellence by ensuring all delivered parts meet or exceed stipulated quality requirements.
- Partner with Class Societies and Certification Bodies for critical components requiring Class endorsements and certifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for advanced technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional, international teams and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes for cost, quality, and delivery.
- Project management experience, handling multiple priorities while exceeding client expectations.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards for regulated industries such as Maritime and Energy industry is preferred. Experience from other verticals, such as Aerospace, is also valued.
- Knowledge of GD&T and hands-on manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Understanding of additive manufacturing technologies and materials, especially their application in Maritime or Energy industries is desirable.
- Proficiency with manufacturing software tools, and knowledge of digital inventory and supply chain systems is highly valued.
- Experience with quality management systems in relevant industries is advantageous.
Working Conditions
Based in our Singapore office, you'll report directly to the Global Quality Director. Occasional travel will be required to visit our manufacturing sites, customer facilities, and industry events, providing you with the opportunity to see the impact of your work firsthand.
