Job Description

In-process quality control

. Establish, review and maintain in-process inspection requirements, control plans, sampling frequency and acceptance criteria based on drawings, routing and process risk.

. Conduct or coordinate first-off, patrol and stage inspections across CNC turning, milling, assembly, deburring and related production processes.

. Verify that operators follow approved drawings, work instructions, inspection methods, process controls and traceability requirements.

. Monitor critical dimensions and process trends identify abnormal variation early and initiate containment before defects move to the next operation.

. Set up and operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for in-process and final dimensional inspection, and interpret CMM reports to confirm product conformity and identify dimensional trends.

. Support First Article Inspection and production start-up by verifying process readiness, inspection results and closure of open quality issues before release.
Outgoing quality and product release

. Define and execute final inspection and outgoing quality checks in accordance with customer, drawing and Eratech requirements.

. Review inspection records, certificates, traceability documents, treatment reports and other required quality documentation before shipment release.

. Confirm that non-conforming material is identified, segregated and dispositioned, and that only accepted product proceeds to packing and delivery.

. Authorize or recommend product release within the approved delegation and escalate unresolved quality risks before shipment.

. Coordinate urgent re-inspection, sorting or recovery actions to protect customer delivery without compromising product conformity.

Non-conformance and corrective action

. Raise and manage internal non-conformance reports (NCRs), including containment, defect characterization, disposition follow-up and closure evidence.

. Lead structured root-cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, 8D or other suitable methods, and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.

. Facilitate Material Review Board discussions with Quality, Engineering and Production for use-as-is, rework, repair or scrap decisions within authorized requirements.

. Support customer complaint investigations and provide accurate production, inspection and traceability evidence for corrective-action responses.

. Escalate repeated defects, process drift, overdue corrective actions and shipment risks with clear impact assessment and recommended actions.

Process improvement and production support

. Analyze in-process and outgoing defect data to identify high-risk parts, machines, operations and recurring failure modes.

. Work with Production and Engineering to improve machining methods, fixtures, tooling, work instructions, inspection methods and error-proofing controls.

. Support process capability studies, measurement-system checks and validation of new or changed manufacturing processes where required.

. Train and guide inspectors, technicians and operators on inspection standards, defect criteria and quality-control requirements.

. Maintain accurate quality records and contribute to internal, customer and certification audits related to production and outgoing quality.
