Job Description

Bradford Jacobs has partnered with a global industrial metals supplier specializing in alloy steel, chrome, nickel, and carbon materials. This company provides a comprehensive range of pipe, tube, bar, and machining solutions for demanding industries. With a strong focus on materials management, logistics, and rapid-response service, it supports customers across the energy sector as well as agriculture, construction, and aerospace markets.

They are now seeking to add an experienced Quality Control Technician to their expanding operations in the region.

About the role

This role serves as a local quality representative responsible for carrying out and formally approving inspection and testing activities on raw materials such as tubes and bars, as well as ensuring adherence to procedures and work instructions related to material handling, rework, and product shipment. The position requires full training and competency in company material processes to effectively uphold and demonstrate quality control standards on behalf of the organisation. It also involves close collaboration with regional leadership based in Singapore and quality management teams in Texas to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions. In addition, the role may require visiting customer facilities to investigate and resolve quality-related issues or other product concerns.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Incoming/Receiving Inspection and sign-off in accordance with SAS procedures and work instructions.
  • In-Process Inspection and sign-off in accordance with SAS procedures and work instructions.
  • Final Inspection and sign-off in accordance with SAS procedures and work instructions.
  • Nonconformance Reporting
  • Ensuring tools used are calibrated/verified
  • Other duties might include helping with corrective action implementation and/or training, as well as other inspection processes that might come up or the customer might request.

Experience Required:

  • Hardness Testing (Portable Brinell)
  • Material Test Report/Certification review
  • Familiarity with tools used to identify/determine dimensions and tolerances (ie. tape measure, micrometre, calliper)
  • Preferably 2-5 years of experience in a Quality role supporting oil & gas related raw material handling (Bar, Mechanical Tube, OCTG tubing/casing)

This is a 100% onsite position in Singapore paying up to USD55,000 per annum DOE.
