Work Location: 6 Fishery Port Road 619747
Job Responsibilities
- Take ownership of setting up and building the warehouse quality management framework for Foodmax, covering fresh produce, frozen, chilled, and ambient food products, from inbound receiving to outbound distribution.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve QC/QA processes, SOPs, inspection standards, and workflows to support a fast-growing, startup-style warehouse operation.
- Lead and execute hands-on quality control activities across inbound inspection, storage conditions, stock rotation (FEFO/FIFO), picking, packing, and dispatch, ensuring food safety and freshness standards are met.
- Establish warehouse quality audit routines, including temperature and cold-chain monitoring, hygiene controls, contamination prevention, and early detection of spoilage, damage, or quality risks.
- Work closely with warehouse operations, supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams to align quality requirements with operational realities in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
- Drive quality incident investigations related to product defects, handling or storage issues, and traceability gaps. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement practical corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Act as a key point of contact for supplier quality management, including defining product specifications, managing quality deviations, returns, and improvement actions with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant food safety and regulatory standards (e.g. HACCP, ISO 22000, SS 590), while adapting requirements pragmatically to a startup operation.
- Build, lead, and mentor QC inspectors and warehouse quality staff, providing hands-on training on food safety, product handling, cold-chain requirements, hygiene, and quality awareness.
- Prepare simple, effective quality reports and dashboards for management to support decision-making, continuous improvement, and operational scalability.
- Champion a quality-first mindset across the warehouse, balancing food safety, efficiency, and business growth in a startup culture.

- Proven experience in setting up quality processes, SOPs, and systems from scratch or significantly improving existing ones.
- Strong knowledge of fresh produce quality control, FEFO/FIFO, cold-chain management, hygiene standards, and storage requirements.

- Comfortable working hands-on on the warehouse floor, not just in a desk-based QA role.
- Familiarity with WMS, basic quality documentation, and traceability systems in a warehouse setting.
- Strong ownership mindset, adaptability, and problem-solving skills in a startup, fast-paced environment.
- Good leadership and communication skills, able to influence cross-functional teams without heavy hierarchy.
