Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Inspection & Assurance
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of printed products (offset, packaging, etc.).
- Verify color accuracy, registration, alignment, finishing, cutting, binding, and overall print quality.
- Ensure adherence to approved artwork, proof, and customer specifications.
- Approve or reject production batches based on quality standards.
2. Process Monitoring
- Monitor quality control procedures throughout pre-press, printing, and finishing stages.
- Identify process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Work closely with machine operators and supervisors to resolve quality issues promptly.
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain QC inspection records, reports, and non-conformance logs.
- Prepare daily/weekly quality performance reports.
- Track defect trends and recommend improvement measures.
4. Continuous Improvement
- Propose initiatives to reduce waste, rework, and production errors.
- Participate in root cause analysis and quality improvement projects.
- Provide training or guidance to production staff on quality standards and best practices.
Requirements
Education
- NTC or Diploma Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, Quality Management, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in quality control within a printing or packaging environment.
- Hands-on experience with offset or packaging printing processes preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of color management, printing materials, and finishing processes
