Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer

JOB SCOPE:

. Prepares the Project Quality plans and Inspection Test plans according to project specifications.

. Prepares welding procedure specification and conduct welder qualification tests.

. Prepares quality control procedures and repair procedures for welding.

. Conducts stage wise inspections like material/fit up/visual/bolt tightening/painting for fabrication and erection works.

. Review and witness the non-destructive testing like ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle testing.

. Liaises with Project Managers/Engineers for day-to-day inspection activities at shop/site.

. Attends weekly meetings and co-ordinate with clients.

. Liaises with Client inspectors / third party inspectors.

. Maintains good documentation.

. Undertaking duties and/or responsibilities as and when appropriately assigned by the HOD.

REQUIREMENT:

. Degree in Mechanical / Structural / Civil Engineering

. 3-5 year experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control (welding works) in preferably in structural steel / construction industry

. Holding a certificate of CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS CWI/SCWI.

. Experience in inspection activities in fabrication and erection works.

. Computer proficiency in MS Office/Excel/MS Word/ Power point.

. Knowledge in codes like ASME / AWS D1.1/ BS EN and ISO standards.

. Internal Audit knowledge is an advantage
