Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to meet internal, customer, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485)
- Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Technicians to achieve departmental and company quality goals
- Oversee the review and approval of quality-related documentation, including inspection records, test reports, and process control plans
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis (RCA) to reduce defects, improve efficiency, and minimize rework
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely resolution of quality issues
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as defect rates, customer returns, and on-time delivery, and develop strategies to address performance gaps
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency
- Liaise with customers on quality-related concerns, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining strong client relationships
- Ensure the calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment
- Review and approve supplier quality audits, inspections, and evaluations
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Management role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485), and auditing procedures
- Hands-on experience in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), root cause analysis, and statistical process control (SPC)
- Proficient in the use of quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, Pareto analysis, 8D, and SPC software
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with customer audits and handling customer quality complaints
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, testing) is preferred
