Job Description

Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of QA engineers to deliver high-quality automated testing solutions that ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the GetGo platform. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines technical expertise, quality strategy, and people management to drive engineering excellence.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Strategic Business Impact
    • Accelerate Revenue Velocity: Drive measurable reduction in time-to-market by replacing manual bottlenecks with intelligent automation frameworks, directly enabling faster feature releases and competitive product iterations without compromising stability.
    • Protect Customer Trust: Establish zero-regression release pipelines that prevent critical defects from reaching production, safeguarding user retention and brand reputation through predictive quality gates rather than reactive firefighting.
  • Technical & Operational Transformation
    • Architect the Future Testing Stack: Replace legacy automation frameworks with GenAI-augmented testing infrastructure that self-heals and auto-generates test cases, reducing maintenance overhead while expanding coverage across mobile and web platforms.
    • Engineer Developer Velocity: Redesign CI/CD pipelines to provide feedback loops, embedding quality checks so early in the development cycle that engineers resolve issues in minutes rather than days.
  • Organisational Influence & Culture
    • Shift-Left Quality Ownership: Restructure cross-functional workflows so that quality becomes a shared accountability across Engineering and Product, eliminating the QA as gatekeeper bottleneck and establishing quality as a competitive advantage rather than a cost centre.
    • Institutionalise Data-Driven Decisions: Build predictive quality dashboards that inform executive release decisions and strategic roadmap prioritisation, transforming QA from a testing function into a strategic intelligence provider for the business.
  • Talent & Capability Building
    • Build a Magnet Team: Transform the QA organisation into a destination for top engineering talent by establishing technical excellence standards, modern tooling stacks, and clear advancement paths—reducing attrition and raising the bar for technical hiring across the company.
    • Cross-Pollinate Technical Excellence: Export automation best practices and testing discipline to the broader engineering organisation through guilds, bootcamps, and tooling standards that elevate quality consciousness company-wide.
Technical Expertise
  • Deep understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and test lifecycle management (unit, integration, regression, smoke, UAT).
  • Strong proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (Kotlin or Java) for automation scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • API automation: Rest-Assured, Postman, or equivalent.
    • UI automation: Appium, Cypress, Selenium or Cucumber.
    • Performance and load testing: JMeter (nice-to-have).
    • CI/CD: Jenkins
  • Working knowledge of Git, Jira, and test case management tools (AIO Tests or similar).
  • Experience with cloud-based QA environments.
  • Hands-on exploration of GenAI tools for QA, such as AI-based test generation, intelligent bug summarisation, test result/report review, or LLM-assisted QA planning.
What Makes You A Great Fit
  • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Deep expertise in automation stacks (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, API testing) combined with the ability to design scalable testing frameworks and mentor engineers on coding standards—ensuring the team builds maintainable, high-performance solutions rather than just writing scripts.
  • Executive Communication: Translates technical quality metrics into business-risk narratives for C-suite audiences; prepares concise executive dashboards that inform product strategy, resource allocation, and release timelines, ensuring quality remains a board-level priority rather than an engineering afterthought.
  • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Deep expertise in automation stacks (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, API testing) combined with the ability to design scalable testing frameworks and mentor engineers on coding standards—ensuring the team builds maintainable, high-performance solutions rather than just writing scripts.
  • People Development & Talent Strategy: Proven success in building and retaining high-performing teams through strategic hiring, individualised coaching, and clear career pathway development; balances empathetic mentorship with performance accountability to drive both technical excellence and retention.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence: Executive presence to advocate for quality standards across Engineering, Product, and DevOps; skilled at negotiating release trade-offs, driving consensus on risk acceptance, and embedding quality accountability throughout the entire SDLC.
Strong personal alignment with our GetGo Values:
  • Driven by Purpose
  • Stay Curious and Humble
  • Collaborate with Empathy
  • Make it Better
  • Get It Going!
