We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to drive quality assurance initiatives across the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience managing QA teams, defining test strategies, implementing automation frameworks, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in Agile environments.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams to establish testing best practices and deliver robust, scalable applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of QA Engineers (manual and automation).
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and quality processes.
- Drive end-to-end testing activities across multiple projects.
- Design, review, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and regression test suites.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams during sprint planning, design reviews, and release planning.
- Identify, document, prioritise, and track software defects through to resolution.
- Ensure functional, integration, regression, API, performance, and user acceptance testing are completed successfully.
- Analyse test metrics and provide regular quality reports to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve QA processes, standards, and automation coverage.
- Participate in release management and production validation activities.
- Promote a quality-first mindset across engineering teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 8–12+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- 3+ years of experience leading QA teams.
- Strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as:
- Selenium
- Cypress
- Playwright
- TestNG/JUnit
- Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or Rest Assured.
- Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience testing cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced).
- Experience with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Exposure to security and accessibility testing.
