The QA Executive guides and supports the implementation of the Nestle Quality system in a production plant in collaboration with the production team and all other departments.

A day in the life of a Quality Assurance Executive..

  1. Quality System: The QA Executive guides and supports the implementation of the Nestle Quality System in the plant in collaboration with the other departments. He / she validates and verifies that QMS, HACCP, and all other SOP's are effectively implemented. He / she assist the plant to maintain a high hygiene standard at all times.
  2. Finished Product / line Control: Following prescribe guidelines the QA Executive establishes and reviews all quality control checks in the conversion of raw materials to Finished Goods. He / she is responsible to validate and verify that all quality checks are properly executed. He / she ensures that all manufacturing materials and finished products meet the prescribed specifications before release by close monitoring of results and advising on the corrective action to be taken in case of deviations.
  3. Raw / Packing material control: Following prescribed guidelines the QA Executive establishes, implements and reviews all quality control checks for raw/ packing materials on arrival. He / she is responsible to ensure that all checks are properly executed. He / she is able to anticipate, trouble-shoot and resolve quality deviations in collaboration with the suppliers and the QA Manager. When there are slow moving materials / aging stocks as identified by the Resource Unit / Production teams (WIP material), the QAE arrange for re-sampling and re-evaluation . Feedback results obtained to Resource Unit Manager and QA Manager. Participates in vendor assessment program.
  4. Training: Establishes in collaborations with the QA Manager, the training need for QAAs and operators of various sections, on topics such as Nestle Quality System (NQS), net weight control, sensory evaluation, alternative method, quality checks, hygiene training etc. He / She designs the training material and conducts the training sessions for QAAs and the operators.
  5. Cost Management: (a) Following prescribe guidelines, he / she controls analytical costs. (b) Continuously seeks opportunities on cost savings without impacting quality of products.
  6. Good Lab Practices - Ensures correct functioning of the laboratory with proper and adequate equipment. Trains personnel and observes Good Laboratory Practices. Sets up and maintains comprehensive ICP. Ensures safe environment in the laboratory by proper storage and handling of chemicals and safe laboratory practice.
  7. People: (a) He / she coaches, trains, and motivates his / her team to achieve KPI targets. (b) He / she maintains good work discipline in his / her department. He / she establishes the performance plan of his / her staff and conduct reviews regularly with the staff. He / she appraises their performance on an annual basic. (c) He / she leads and guides the team on safety practices and in identifying and resolving potential safety hazards in the line and the laboratory. He / she also participates in safety discussions with the plant.
  8. Continuous Improvement: (a) He / she continuously reviews the Quality system in collaboration with the Production Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Engineering Manager, and the production team in order to improve food safety and competitive quality. In this respect the QA Executive supports the Management Review of Quality carried out at least annually. He / she is involved in the formulation of quality strategies and factory objectives. (b) He / she promotes quality improvement culture in the plant. He / She actively involves in the implementation of C.I. projects.

What will make you successful:

  • Degree in any Scientific Discipline (e.g. Food Technology, Chemistry, Food Science , Mathematics, etc.)
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in Food Manufacturing
