About the job

As a Junior QA Engineer, you will support the testing and quality assurance of web applications and software solutions. Working alongside experienced QA professionals and cross-functional teams, you will gain hands-on experience in ensuring software quality while developing your technical and professional skills. This role is ideal for fresh graduates, early-career professionals, and individuals looking to transition into a software quality assurance career.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using front-end and back-end technologies.
• Execute functional, regression, and user acceptance testing for web applications and software solutions.
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects, working closely with developers and stakeholders to support issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and successful project delivery.
• Maintain testing documentation, test results, and defect reports.
• Support test automation and continuous improvement initiatives where applicable.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Individuals seeking to transition into a software development career are welcome to apply.
• Up to 2 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related roles will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and software development lifecycle practices.
• Familiarity with web applications, APIs, databases, and defect management processes is advantageous.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks is advantageous.
• Commitment to actively participate in training programmes, mentoring sessions, workshops, certification courses, and other learning and development activities assigned by the organisation.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and development practices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Eligibility Requirement

This is an on-site role based in Singapore and is part of the IMDA Company-Led Training (CLT) Programme. Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents are eligible to apply.
