We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that products and processes consistently meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards. This role plays a key part in inspection, documentation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement within a mechanical manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
. Implement and maintain quality control procedures in line with company and customer requirements
. Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies
. Review and approve inspection reports, route cards, and quality records
. Manage non-conformance reports (NCR), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
. Perform root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives
. Support internal, customer, and supplier audits
. Liaise with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues
. Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer specifications, and engineering drawings
Requirements
. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
. Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
. Strong ability to read mechanical drawings and GD&T
. Hands-on experience with inspection tools (e.g. vernier calipers, micrometers CMM is an advantage)
. Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001 / AS9100 (advantage)
. Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
. Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Preferred / Advantageous Experience
. Background in aerospace, precision engineering, or high-mix manufacturing environments
. Knowledge of FAI, PPAP, NDT, or customer-specific quality requirements
. Audit experience (internal, customer, or supplier audits)
