As an Automation Test Engineer, you'll lead and execute automated and non-regression testing using java-Selenium and other tools to ensure high-quality banking application releases.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform non-regression testing on upcoming application releases to ensure quality and stability
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium-based testing framework
- Collaborate with development and operations teams for efficient troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues through resolution
- Contribute to the test automation chapter, sharing knowledge and best practices across the department
- Reduce non-regression test lead times and increase test coverage through automation initiatives
- Monitor and execute scheduled test jobs (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Maintain and improve existing testing workflows, processes, and frameworks
- Prepare test reports and documentation for stakeholder.
Qualifications and Profile
The successful candidate should have:
- Master or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Programming & Systems Analysis/ Science (Computer Studies) faculties.
- Minimum 3-7 years of experience as a Test Engineer, preferably in banking or financial services environment
Technical
Good hands-on experience in following technologies:
- Test automation: Selenium, Java
- Programming/Scripting: Python, Java
- Version control systems: Git
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins or similar
- Database: SQL scripting (SQL Server or Oracle preferred)
- API Testing: REST API experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker, Kafka, MQSeries
- Familiarity with task schedulers such as Control-M
- Knowledge of observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus)
- Experience with Agile and ITIL practices
- Understanding of Lean management principles
- Additional certifications in software testing (ISTQB) or related areas
