Lead and manage all quality assurance activities within the warehouse, including inbound inspection, storage quality control, stock rotation, and outbound product quality checks.
Supervise and validate the inspection of incoming FMCG goods, ensuring products meet specification, freshness, packaging integrity, and safety standards.
Implement regular warehouse quality audits, including temperature monitoring, FEFO/FIFO adherence, contamination control, and early detection of product deterioration or damage.
Verify the quality and accuracy of products during picking, sorting, and dispatch to ensure all outbound orders meet company and customer requirements.
Lead investigations for product defects, storage-related issues, and batch traceability problems. Drive root-cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions (CA), and preventive measures (PCA) to minimize quality risks.
Collaborate with suppliers, procurement, logistics partners, and QA teams to manage product specifications, quality disputes, and returns.
Develop, review, and enhance QA SOPs, inspection standards, and warehouse quality workflows to improve operational efficiency and compliance.
Ensure warehouse operations comply with relevant food safety, FMCG regulatory standards, and internal quality policies (e.g., HACCP, ISO22000, SS590 where applicable).
Work closely with warehouse operations, production, supply chain, and logistics teams to strengthen end-to-end quality management.
Lead QA inspectors and warehouse quality staff. Provide training on quality standards, product handling, food safety, storage requirements, and hygiene practices.
Prepare quality reports, audit findings, and incident summaries for management review. Maintain accurate QC records, batch traceability logs, and inspection documentation.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Biology, Supply Chain, or related fields. Candidates with strong FMCG warehouse experience may be considered.
Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in FMCG, food distribution, warehouse operations, or cold-chain environments.
Strong understanding of warehouse quality processes, FEFO/FIFO, product handling, and storage conditions.
Experience managing fresh food, chilled, or ambient FMCG products is an advantage.
Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP, ISO22000, SS590, or equivalent.
Proficient in quality inspections, SOP development, RCA, and corrective/preventive actions.
Familiarity with warehouse systems (WMS), quality documentation, and traceability requirements.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and a sense of ownership.
Ability to work in fast-paced FMCG warehouse environments with high volume and tight timelines.
