We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA/QC Officer to oversee both quality assurance systems and day-to-day quality control activities. This hybrid role is ideal for candidates who can manage documentation, compliance, and audits while also being hands-on in production monitoring and inspection.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (QA):
- Implement and maintain food safety systems (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000)
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations and licensing requirements
- Maintain documentation: SOPs, records, traceability, and recall systems
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits/inspections
- Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure compliance with food labeling and allergen requirements
Quality Control (QC):
- Perform inspection of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and production parameters
- Conduct routine hygiene and sanitation checks on the production floor
- Carry out sampling and basic testing (e.g., temperature, pH, visual checks)
- Identify and report non-conforming products and deviations
- Verify cleaning, pest control, and environmental monitoring activities
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in QA/QC within food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and Singapore food regulations
- Familiar with SFA requirements, labeling laws, and audit processes
- HACCP certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work both in office (documentation) and production floor environment
