Role Summary
Ackcio builds hardware and IoT products that combine electronics, firmware, wireless communication, and industrial deployment. As our product portfolio grows, we are looking for a hands on Quality Assurance and NPI Manager to build and own our product and process quality framework.
This role covers new product introduction quality, production QC systems, supplier quality control, assembly and test instruction control, and product release quality gates. You will work closely with engineering, operations, customer support, and contract manufacturers to ensure reliable and scalable product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Own and build Ackcio's product and process quality framework across hardware and IoT products
Define and maintain QC checklists, inspection standards, and quality gates for new hardware and firmware releases
Lead new product introduction quality activities including pilot builds, validation plans, and release readiness control
Standardize assembly, test, and rework instructions with proper version control
Establish supplier and incoming quality control, including audits and corrective action follow up
Drive defect classification, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure across field and production issues
Track product and supplier quality metrics and run cross functional quality reviews
Work with engineering, operations, and firmware teams to ensure proper validation and release discipline
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field
At least 8 years experience in QA, NPI, or quality engineering roles
Proven experience in hardware product manufacturing environment
Proven experience building QC or quality systems
Experience in new product introduction and release quality control
Experience in supplier quality and factory audit activities
Strong root cause analysis and corrective action experience
Familiar with QC tools such as FMEA, control plans, SOPs, inspection plans
Requirements
Experience with electronics products preferred
Experience with embedded or firmware based products preferred
Experience with IoT or connected devices is a plus
Experience working with contract manufacturers is a plus
Six Sigma or ISO quality certification is a plus
