About The Role

As a CBRE QHSE Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of procedures and operational guidance within the HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) program. You will closely with the EHS Manager and functional Managers to continue to drive a Safety-First culture.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with employees in solving safety concerns raised by employees.
  • Participate in incident investigations and ensure root cause countermeasures are identified to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents. Review and analyze accident and spill data to identify trends or areas requiring additional focus.
  • Participate in site walks, find opportunities related to EHS, and remediate safety concerns.
  • Be a safety advocate. Proactively look for opportunities to improve safety programs and educate and inspire employees to do the same. Drive and implement changes as needed.
  • Perform periodic audits to identify potential EHS hazards, program deficiencies, and liabilities and coordinate the closure of gaps identified.
  • Lead and participate in job safety and ergonomics analysis, make recommendations, and work with the appropriate department to implement changes when necessary.
  • Maintain EHS database and records, and generate reports as needed.
  • Work with project teams and ensure established safety standards are met while implementing new projects.
  • Lead and implement EHS improvement activities arising from Group EHS and site leadership directions.
  • Maintain the Task-specific Hazard and Risk Register.
  • Review contractors/service providers JHA, risk assessments
  • Deliver safety training as required.
  • Inspect lifesaving equipment.


What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or related scientific disciplines such as Biology, Chemical, or Engineering.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM
  • Registered Fire Safety Manager
  • 3+ years in environmental health and safety (EHS) role or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with plant-wide teams to drive strong safety culture and environmental awareness in all employees.
  • Good technical and analytical skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and daily responsibilities.
  • Good planning and organizational skills for effective and efficient execution of EHS activities
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Good grasp of business continuity planning and conduct of exercises.
  • Great teammate, able to work effectively with others.
