QC Production Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a QC Production Engineer to support quality assurance and production activities for precision-machined and assembled semiconductor components. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure stable processes, product compliance, and continuous quality improvement in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain quality control processes for precision engineering and assembly operations
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
- Provide on-the-floor quality support to production and assembly lines
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support first article inspection (FAI), process changes, and new product introduction (NPI)
- Prepare quality documentation such as inspection reports, NCRs, and 8D reports
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework
- Coordinate with suppliers on incoming quality and corrective actions
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision, or related Engineering discipline
- 2-5 years of experience in quality or production engineering within semiconductor or precision manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Knowledge of quality tools (5 Why, Fishbone, Control Plans, PFMEA, Cp/Cpk)
- Familiarity with ISO-based Quality Management Systems
- Hands-on, shopfloor-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience with QC tools and equipment operation
- Exposure to customer audits and semiconductor customer requirements
