Key Responsibilities & duties
A. Laboratory related responsibilities
- Conduct sensory, microbial, pH etc. testing for finished product and raw materials, and recording of results (including for Trial samples).
- Perform incoming material testing, i.e. raw material, packaging material, and material COA review.
- Perform routine QC checks in accordance to documented HACCP Plan and Procedures.
- Support plant operations food safety and quality control for production, incoming inspection, and other QA/QC activities throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assist QM & PD Executive into managing QC Laboratory, chillers, sample retention and QA Hold Area, to ensure cleanliness and housekeeping to meet 5S standards.
- Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
- Collect product samples for product retention program.
- Check chemical solution for production use.
- Perform swab test to verify the cleaning condition of equipment and worker's hygiene, Water test and Environment test.
- Conduct shelf life validation.
- Assist QM & PD Executive to conduct calibration job as per procedure.
- Assist QM & PD Executive to perform complaint/ retention sample evaluation, to determine root cause.
- Monitor Lab inventory.
B. Quality Management Systems related responsibilities
- Assist QM & PD Manager/ Executive into monitoring and maintaining production operations in accordance to GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 requirements.
- Manage QA withheld inclusive of product on hold activities, sorting and releasing.
- Monitoring critical control points (CCP) implementation as per HACCP/ ISO Standards.
- Ensure employees are following all food safety and worker safety practices.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Food Science/ Chemistry.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in laboratory testing/ experience in Food Manufacturing Plant.
- Good communication skills, able to work independently and good time management.
- Possess skills for Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
