About our client: Our client is a manufacturer of offshore drilling and production equipment that is well-suited for use in deepwater applications.
About the role:
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products for quality.
- Confirm all machine parts have final inspection for compliance with drawing details.
- Ensure all measuring tools and equipment are calibrated to specifications.
- Operate and program CMM and perform inspections of critical components.
- Conduct hardness tests and premium thread inspections.
- Process inspections and non-conformance reports.
- Maintain traceability of all parts inspected.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Mentor junior QC inspectors and make daily quality decisions.
- Prepare inspection reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
About you:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years QC experience in manufacturing, preferably oilfield/subsea equipment.
- Strong CMM experience, including programming and reporting.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances.
- Experience with hardness and premium thread inspections.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and good communication.
- Ability to mentor others and make independent decisions.
- Willing to do overtime when needed.
