Job Scope:
We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Engineer (Test Lead) with solid expertise in test management, end-to-end testing strategy, and quality engineering practices. The ideal candidate will lead testing activities across multiple projects, ensure the delivery of high-quality software, and guide a team in implementing effective testing processes. This role requires excellent collaboration, analytical thinking, and the ability to drive quality across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test scripts and execute tests throughout the application lifecycle.
- Apply business and functional knowledge to design comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure effective testing practices.
- Lead team decision making and ensure efficient workload distribution and skill growth.
- Drive testing standards, processes, and best practices across projects.
- Prepare and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Coordinate with development, business, and product teams to ensure quality deliverables.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Oversee test execution activities including functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Participate in requirement reviews to ensure completeness and testability.
- Provide testing estimates and contribute to release readiness assessments.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and execute automation scripts using Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- 4-7 years of software testing experience, with at least 2+ years in a Test Lead role.
- Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle, software testing lifecycle, defect lifecycle, and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail).
- Excellent skills in functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple testing efforts across releases.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
