The QAQC Engineer shall participate in the engineering, procurement and manufacturing process of material, such as piping, fitting, flange, structural material (steel plate & I-beam) etc, from RFQ to shipment, control and manage vendor quality issues (TBE, PO, KOM, PIM, Manufacturing, In-progress Inspection, Pressure Test, FAT, Final Inspection, etc.).
The piping & fitting material will be CS, SS, DSS, SDSS, GRE, GRV, GRUP, Ni, Cu ,etc.
Responsibilities
- Support the procurement department and participate in various meetings with the Vendor/Company to ensure the product packages are met and compliance with the project specifications / Standard and Code requirements
- Attend KOM / Organize of PIM and prepare the quality section of the KOM slide.
- Review and comment on vendor documents (ITP, MPS, FAT procedure, report, etc.)
- Communicate with the vendor/COMPANY regarding controversial comments or feedback and raise a clarification meeting if necessary
- Proactive and liaise with TPC coordinator and update the vendor package progress status information to Engineering/Procurement and Client
- Verify NOI readiness and forward to TPC coordinator for vendor inspection
- Review and comment TPC inspection report
- Manage the NCR if discrepancies are identified and expedite the vendor's resolution proposal / RCA (if necessary) within 3 working days of receiving NCR by vendor
- Review the manufacturer's record book / As-built dossier
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Material Science / Mechanical Engineering or higher
- Minimum five years and above (5) experience directly relating to the Quality Assurance procurement execution and vendor inspection activities
- Worked on at least 2 FPSO/Offshore projects in a similar capacity
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO-9001/BS EN 10204 requirements and implementation
- Knowledge of codes required by the purchase order, such as NACE, ASTM, ASME B31.3, ASME B16.47, EN 10025, etc
- CSWIP3.1 or AWS-CWI or IWE and NDT qualification
