QA /QC Engineer

Job Description & Requirements

. Working Location - Jurong Island or Pulau Bukom or where projects required

. Working hours - Monday to Saturday, 0800 to 1700hours

. Qualification - Min degree in Civil Engineering Disciplines

. Preferred 2 to 3 years working experience in Civil Engineering Industries - Oil and Petrochemical

. Act as the main QAQC adviser on the project site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives

. Prepare and plan QAQC procedures and documents for the project/ works

. Attend to and prepare for any quality inspection required for the works

. Formulate and implement a quality assurance program for the worksite including but not limited to training, assessment and implementation to ensure quality works on site

. Maintain, formulate and follow through with a quality assurance system and follow through with the audit requirements

. Advise and monitor the operation team for quality execution of the works on-site

. Liaise with Clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors/ vendors with regards to quality execution and planning of the works

. Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws concerning quality

. Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of quality aspects of the works

. Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site supervisory crew, labour force and the work of any subcontractors to ensure quality execution of the works

. Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site

. Preparing reports as required

. Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

. Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards participating in educational opportunities reading professional publications maintaining personal networks participating in professional organizations.

. Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents/ drawings supplied by the client, architect or consultant

. Enhances organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

. Upholding the Company's work ethics and proper display of representation to Clients/Vendors/Subcon
