QA/QC Engineer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a meticulous QA/QC professional to ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in monitoring work, resolving defects, and maintaining the highest quality control measures.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct regular inspections to confirm compliance with method statements and relevant quality guidelines.
2. Monitor subcontractor personnel across various trades and ensure proper rectification of defects.
3. Develop and implement effective QA/QC plans for project consistency.
4. Prepare detailed and accurate QA/QC reports and support QM submission preparation.
5. Maintain quality standards in line with site-specific materials and the Project Quality Plan (PQP).
6. Communicate non-conformances and corrective actions via Site Memos effectively.
7. Oversee the application of corrective and preventive actions against identified non-conformities.
8. Coordinate arrangements with external bodies for CONQUAS assessments.
9. Ensure client and consultant approvals for method statements before implementation.
10. Manage testing requirements as per contract specifications and Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
11. Actively participate in regular site meetings, including QAQC, landscape coordination, and client meetings.
12. Conduct or participate in off-site inspections at precast and structural steel facilities.
13. Facilitate smooth handover processes during inspections and address client defects during the Defect Liability Period.

Requirements

1. Minimum educational qualification: Relevant degree or diploma in construction or engineering.
2. At least 5 years of QA/QC experience in the construction sector.
3. Proven experience in industrial facilities or large-scale commercial projects.
4. Familiarity with CONQUAS, ITP, NCR, PQP, and QA/QC documentation processes.
5. Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple subcontractors on-site.
6. Previous experience in a main contractor role is preferred.
