Job Scope / Responsibilities
1. ISO & Halal Documentation Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain ISO (e.g., ISO 22000 / HACCP) and Halal documentation systems.
- Prepare, update, and control SOPs, forms, records, and any certification-related documents.
- Ensure full compliance with MUIS Halal requirements, including monitoring CCPs, ingredient verification, and supplier documentation.
- Coordinate internal and external audits for ISO and Halal certification.
- Conduct regular document reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
2. Daily Kitchen QA / QC Checks
- Perform daily hygiene, food safety, and process checks in the central kitchen.
- Verify gluten-free production practices to prevent cross-contamination.
- Monitor CCPs, calibration records, temperature logs, cleaning logs, and production forms.
- Ensure staff follow GMP, SSOPs, personal hygiene standards, and Halal production protocols.
- Report non-conformities, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
3. Ingredient & Supplier Compliance
- Check and verify all incoming ingredients for gluten-free compliance and Halal status.
- Manage supplier approval documents and maintain updated certificates.
- Work closely with purchasing team to ensure all raw materials meet ISO & Halal requirements.
4. Training & Staff Support
- Conduct regular training (GMP, food safety, Halal awareness, allergen control).
- Support Production team with proper record-keeping and SOP adherence.
5. Continuous Improvement
- Identify gaps in food safety processes and propose improvements.
- Support management in building a strong food safety culture.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in QA/QC in F&B manufacturing or central kitchen (ISO / HACCP / Halal experience preferred).
- Knowledge of ISO 22000, HACCP, Halal certification (MUIS), GMP, and food safety standards.
- Experience with allergen control, ideally gluten-free production, is a strong advantage.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Good communication skills with ability to train and guide staff.
- Meticulous, organised, responsible, and proactive.
- Able to work independently and handle audits confidently.
- 5 or 5.5-day work week
