QA Engineer

Role Description

This is a detail-oriented role for a QA Engineer responsible for ensuring software quality, system reliability, and product performance through comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes. The QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying software defects, documenting testing results, and collaborating with development teams to ensure applications meet functional, technical, and user requirements. Additional responsibilities include performing manual and functional testing, supporting regression and system testing activities, tracking and reporting defects, and assisting with process improvements to enhance software quality standards. The role also involves reviewing technical specifications, validating system functionality, maintaining testing documentation, and supporting release processes to ensure smooth and reliable software delivery. The position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple testing activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of software quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, and defect management processes

• Knowledge of manual testing, functional testing, regression testing, and system validation techniques

• Ability to design test cases, execute testing procedures, and document results accurately

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

• Familiarity with bug tracking systems, testing tools, and software development workflows

• Ability to identify, analyze, and communicate software issues effectively

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with development and project teams

• Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts and quality standards is an advantage

• Ability to manage multiple testing tasks, priorities, and deadlines efficiently

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate testing records and reports

• Professional attitude, adaptability, and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions
