We are seeking a skilled and proactive Application Support Engineer/ Python Developer to support Meta's internal software applications and tooling. This role involves hands-on debugging, scripting, and close collaboration with engineering teams to ensure smooth and efficient development operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage and respond to support queries raised by Meta engineers in a timely manner.
- Analyze logs, system data, and application behavior to identify root causes and escalate issues where required.
- Develop basic tools, scripts, and test cases to improve support efficiency and service quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical writing teams to enhance internal documentation.
- Generate performance metrics, reports, and insights for leadership review.
- Provide actionable feedback to influence product improvements and roadmap decisions.
- Use data analysis tools to troubleshoot issues and support faster ML model development cycles.
- Automate debugging and support workflows to reduce resolution time and improve reliability.
Required Skills & Experience
- Python Development: 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience building small to medium-scale applications.
- Ruby: Preferred but not mandatory.
- Frontend Technologies: Exposure to at least one frontend technology; PHP preferred.
- Databases & Linux: 2 - 3 years of experience in system troubleshooting and database handling.
- Application / Dev Support: Prior experience in a support-driven engineering environment is a strong plus.
- AI Integration: Basic understanding of AI applications in business or engineering workflows is preferred.
