Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management initiatives across the Asia region. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving supplier localization and developing a competitive regional supply base to support business growth

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to localize and optimize the supplier base across APAC.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers for electrical components, wire harnesses, plastics, and metal parts.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, cost competitiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluation.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle, including the creation and processing of purchase orders.
  • Track shipments and resolve any delivery or supply chain issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on purchasing activities, pricing structures, and inventory levels.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers to optimize value.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as production, inventory, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with operational requirements.
  • Conduct market research to keep abreast of industry pricing and potential new vendors.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal controls and applicable regulations.
  • Support cost control efforts and contribute to procurement-related budgeting.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and supplier management within contract manufacturing (CM), electronics manufacturing services (EMS), or control panel industries.
  • Strong supplier network and industry contacts across Southeast Asia or the wider APAC region.
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and meet strategic objectives.
  • Familiarity with modern sourcing strategies and procurement workflows.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems or procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SyteLine, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of import/export regulations.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or ISM Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel if needed.
