Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Policy: Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures for cost-effective, efficient procurement.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiation: Secure optimal terms, pricing, and contracts for goods and services.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage the purchasing budget, monitor spending, and ensure financial efficiency.
- Inventory & Demand: Oversee inventory levels, analyze trends, and forecast future needs.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing department staff.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments (Finance, Operations, Legal) to meet their needs.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Market Analysis: Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience: Several years in purchasing/procurement, with proven management experience.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, supply chain dynamics, and risk management.
