This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, follows matters through to completion, and can coordinate confidently with suppliers, key retail customers, warehouse staff, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing and liaise with local and overseas suppliers.
- Negotiate and follow up on pricing, MOQ, payment terms, lead times, production, and deliveries.
- Prepare purchase orders and support stock replenishment planning.
- Calculate product costs, selling prices, margins, and promotional profitability.
- Coordinate key retail and business accounts, including quotations, product listings, promotion submissions, and product information.
- Receive and confirm customer purchase orders, checking prices, quantities, stock availability, and delivery dates.
- Create sales orders based on confirmed customer orders.
- Coordinate order fulfilment, delivery requirements, and outstanding matters with the warehouse and operations team.
- Coordinate new product launches across suppliers, customers, warehouse, and internal teams.
- Prepare sales reports and analyse performance by customer, product, and promotion.
About You
- Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, commercial operations, sales coordination, or key account support.
- Experience in FMCG, wholesale, distribution, retail accounts, or overseas sourcing is an advantage.
- Strong numerical ability and confidence in product costing and margin calculations.
- Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, sales orders, inventory processes, and ERP or accounting systems.
- Organised, responsible, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Proactive and able to recommend solutions instead of merely escalating problems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving SME environment.
