Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for materials, supplies, or services.
  • Process purchase orders and maintain accurate records in procurement systems.
  • Track the status of orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Liaise with vendors to confirm order details, negotiate pricing, and resolve delivery or quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier and product information.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse or inventory team.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing reports, documentation, and filing systems.
  • Support invoice reconciliation and liaise with accounts payable as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 13 years of relevant experience in a purchasing or administrative support role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP or procurement systems is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills (preferred)
