Job Summary: Purchasing Assistant is the key member to support Senior Purchasing Specialist on day-to-day operational basis. He/She will support with the PO Management, Logistic & Delivery, Vendor set up and work together with cross-functional teams to support business plans. The role will also support import permits, SAP, Indirect sourcing. He/she shall comply with procurement code of conduct strictly to carry out daily work.
Major / Functional Responsibilities
- Purchase Order Management: Assist in creating and tracking purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timely placement for raw materials, intercompany transfer raw materials, indirect purchases includes plant, office/ admin expenses.
- Logistics and Delivery: Tracking incoming orders, ensure timely delivery of goods. Manage import operation and administrative required documents for shipment clearance.
- Procurement Admin Support:
- Vendor Master Setup
- Update shipment cost into SAP
- Indirect sourcing
- Import permit
- Safety Comply with corporate, regional and local safety policy and attend safety management related meeting & activities
- Other Ad hoc Tasks when needed, e.g.: manually update market price index report, managing or assisting with indirect sourcing, backup during my absence
Qualifications (Education and Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management or chemical engineering is a plus.
- 2 to 3 years working experience in supply chain management or procurement
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat).
- Experience working with ERP systems. SAP system a plus.
