Job Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate and purchase M&E materials, equipment and services in accordance with project requirements.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and payment terms.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers and Site Teams to ensure materials are delivered on schedule.
- Follow up with suppliers on order status, deliveries and any discrepancies.
- Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Compare quotations and prepare cost analysis for management review.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment when required.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Management
Job Requirements
- Diploma, Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience in the construction or M&E industry.
- Experience purchasing M&E materials is preferred.
- Good knowledge of M&E products, suppliers and the local construction market.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with good organisational and problem-solving skills.
