Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our construction company. The ideal candidate will source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and services required for our construction projects while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services from local and overseas suppliers.

  • Prepare requests for quotation (RFQs), evaluate quotes, and negotiate contracts with suppliers.

  • Issue purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules to ensure timely supply.

  • Monitor supplier performance, maintain supplier database, and develop long-term vendor relationships.

  • Track inventory levels and coordinate with project teams to ensure materials are available when needed.

  • Assist in budget control and cost optimization for procurement activities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and Singapore regulations.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records and reports for management review.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction and civil engineering projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and procurement processes.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)

  • High attention to detail, analytical skills, and integrity in procurement processes.

  • Familiarity with BCA standards, safety regulations, and ISO processes is advantageous.
