Job Description

Terms of Employment

  • Salary is based on an hourly rate and there are no benefits for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, order, and organise all PTA merchandise and back-stock, including clothing and branded items.
  • Work with the Store Manager to cover operating hours (8:30 am - 4:00 pm); hours may be split by mutual agreement.
  • Work up to 60 hours per month at the Store (to be discussed).
  • Compile and maintain inventory reports for all Store merchandise — spiritwear, SAS-branded items, bags, umbrellas, and more.
  • Oversee marketing and promotion of all merchandise.
  • Reorder items as needed within the established budget and with PTA Treasurer approval.
  • Present proposals for new items to the PTA Executive Board for approval.
  • Maintain working documents covering profit margins, costs, and inventory at all times.
  • Conduct physical inventory at least twice per year (November and April) and submit a report to the Treasurer and Board.
  • Attend monthly PTA board meetings
  • Support the sourcing and preparation of merchandise for special events

Requirements And Qualifications

  • Singaporean citizen, PR, or dependent pass holder of an eligible ONE Pass holder
  • Prior PTA Café & Store volunteering experience preferred; current or former SAS staff, parents, or alumni parents are strongly encouraged to apply
  • GCE O Level Certification (minimum 5 O with at least a credit in English subject)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Comfortable working in a diverse, multicultural environment with flexibility and adaptability
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to take initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and open to learning new tools and platforms
