Psychologist

Job Description:

• Conduct psychological assessments and work with clients and families to address learning, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to identify learning barriers and implement effective interventions and support strategies.
• Provide counselling, mentoring, and therapeutic interventions to support students/trainees social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Design and implement programmes to promote resilience, wellness, and prevent potential academic or behavioural risks.
• Conduct workshops and training for parents and staff to enhance understanding and management of learning and behavioural needs.
• Maintain professional standards with relevant qualifications, registration, and experience, particularly in working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree in Applied/Clinical Psychology and registered or eligible for registration with SRP (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for working with persons with special needs, with empathy and professionalism.
• Clear, organised thinking with strong verbal and written communication, and experience in clinical/counselling or educational settings.
