Our client is seeking Psychologist in Special Education (SPED). He/She is responsible for providing psychological support and services to students with special needs and their families. This role involves conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators, caregivers, and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment. The psychologist aims to enhance students emotional and psychological well-being, promote their academic success, and support their overall development.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Psychologist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students needs and strengths.
- Deliver individualized and holistic psychological services that focus on the well-being of students and their families.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Participate in behavioral health programs aimed at improving students social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Analyze feedback and data from behavioral programs to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Provide consultation and support to internal and external stakeholders regarding best practices in special education.
- Supervise and guide entry-level psychologists and interns in their professional development.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in psychology and special education.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development and participate in relevant improvement projects within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Psychology.
- Relevant internship or work experience in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, Educational Psychology, Child Psychology, or Health Psychology.
- Registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists.
