Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects by analyzing specifications and drawings. Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labor needed for installations, collaborating with project teams for accuracy. Develop and manage project budgets while monitoring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Generate regular cost reports, analyzing data to keep stakeholders informed of financial status and providing recommendations. Assist in preparing tender documents and participate in the procurement process, evaluating bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Administer contracts related to MEP works, ensuring compliance and resolving any disputes that arise. Identify opportunities for value engineering, working with design and construction teams to optimize costs without compromising quality. Assess potential risks associated with costs and contracts, developing strategies to mitigate them for project success. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in MEP construction while staying updated on industry trends. Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects, along with other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial, commercial, or data center projects. Strong working knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical systems. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability. Effective communication and facilitation skills. Demonstrated initiative and commitment to delivering high-quality work independently.
