Job Description

Our client is a Japanese manufacturer of electronic products.
They are seeking a Project Site Electrical Engineer (Power Distribution & Transmission) to join the team.

【Responsibilities】
- Provide engineering, technical & site support for all assigned projects
- Prepare and submit customers tender, conduct kick-off meeting with clients, and communicate with vendors and customers during project execution
- Liaise with vendors about quotations, specifications, and preliminary drawing at the same time maintain communication with manufacturers and subcontractors
- Pursue projects with the sales and technical team to meet project objectives
- Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team and clients, follow through projects, and offer technical and site support for the project cycle from the conceptual stage to the installation stage
- Liaise with clients and the factory to meet the factory acceptance test schedule
- Perform site coordination, site acceptance tests, and commissioning work
- Provide the necessary field inputs to engineering and factories for designing new products and improving existing products or systems
- Organise training for clients and handover to the Life Cycle department for warranty
- Keep up with technological advancements and emerging trends in the transformers industry
- Undertake other assignments and additional projects assigned by the Head of Department

Requirement

【Requirements & Preferences】

(Must)
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- At least 5 years hands-on technical electrical engineering experience in the field of transformer, from a construction, process, or plant engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of transformers and familiar with engineering support functions from the industrial environment
- Must be ready to travel on business trips overseas to support business needs (2-3 times a month)

(Advantageous)
- Candidates with switchgear knowledge have an added advantage
