Job Description

Overview

The Project Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales and managing client relationships for laboratory construction, equipment supply, and engineering solutions. This role combines technical understanding with sales execution to deliver turnkey laboratory projects across education, healthcare, research, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in laboratory construction and equipment projects
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation, proposal, negotiation to project award
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and tender submissions
  • Understand client requirements and propose suitable lab solutions (e.g., lab benches, fume hoods, gas piping systems)
  • Coordinate with internal engineering and project teams to ensure accurate costing and technical compliance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and contractors
  • Attend site meetings, project briefings, and client presentations
  • Monitor project pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and reports
  • Support marketing efforts including company presentations and capability pitches
  • Ensure timely follow-up on leads and closing of sales opportunities

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building, Science, or related field
  • 2-5 years of sales experience in construction, laboratory, or technical solutions industry
  • Basic understanding of laboratory setups (e.g., wet labs, cleanrooms, gas systems) is an advantage
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
  • Self-motivated with strong sales drive and target-oriented mindset

Preferred Experience

  • Experience handling government or institutional projects (e.g., schools, research labs)
  • Familiarity with tender submissions (e.g., GeBIZ)
  • Knowledge of local compliance standards (BCA, WSH, SCDF requirements)
  • Existing network within construction or laboratory industry
