Job Summary
The Project Planner is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for fire protection installation works. The role ensures timely project execution by coordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, while maintaining accurate planning documentation and progress tracking in accordance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Scheduling & Planning
. Develop and maintain detailed project timelines using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
. Prepare baseline schedules, manpower loading, equipment scheduling, and resource planning.
. Break down project scope into work packages and define critical activities.
. Plan installation sequencing for fire protection systems (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, alarms, etc.).
2. Progress Monitoring & Control
. Track and update project progress on a weekly/monthly basis.
. Identify delays, risks, and bottlenecks, and propose recovery plans.
. Conduct schedule impact analysis for design changes, VO works, or site delays.
. Prepare progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules.
3. Coordination & Communication
. Work closely with Project Manager, Site Engineers, QS, and Coordination teams.
. Liaise with clients, consultants, and main contractors on schedule submissions.
. Attend project meetings to report scheduling status and highlight critical issues.
. Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
4. Documentation & Compliance
. Maintain accurate planning documents, logs, and version-controlled schedules.
. Ensure schedules comply with contractual requirements and project specifications.
. Support preparation of monthly progress claims with accurate progress tracking.
. Assist in documentation for BCA, SCDF, and other authorities when required (if related to schedule).

Requirements
Education & Experience
. Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
. Minimum 2-5 years of planning experience in construction.
. Experience in fire protection or M&E projects is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
. Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
. Good understanding of fire protection installation processes and workflow.
. Knowledge of construction sequencing, resource planning, and project controls.
. Understanding of ACMV/M&E systems is a plus.
Soft Skills
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
. Good communication and coordination abilities.
. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
. Detail-oriented with strong sense of responsibility.

Additional Information (Optional)
. Knowledge of PPVC, BIM scheduling (4D), or digital planning tools is an advantage.
. Site experience in fire protection projects is a strong added benefit.
