School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Our Lab aims to hire a Project Officer to support the development of AI-based visual Analytics systems.
Key Responsibilities:
The Project Officer will conduct research on Computer Vision, Image Processing, and Multimedia Forensics for human and marine monitoring applications.The roles of this position include:
Research into Visual Search and Video Analytics related work, such as object detection, visual object inspection.
Creation of large-scale datasets for research and algorithm evaluation
Be part of a research team in the execution of funded research projects
Assist in drafting of proposals for research grants in the above areas
Job Requirements:
Minimum of a good Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Signal Processing, Machine Learning, or a related field. An advanced degree (eg. Masters/PhD or equivalent) is preferred.
Research background in Deep Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Large Vision Language Models (LVLMs). Experience in physics-based 3D modelling would be an advantage.
Proficient in Python and PyTorch, with familiarity in C/C++.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English, and research publications is an advantage- essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
Ability to engage stakeholders and guide student assistants.
