The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.
Join the laboratory of Prof Lew Wen Siang at SPMS. We are seeking a Project Officer to contribute to a project focused on Emerging Non-volatile Memory Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
To support project management, including coordinating regular meetings with industry partners and maintaining records of communications.
To assist the lead PI in managing industry collaboration projects and exploring new opportunities.
To support the procurement of research-related items and maintain project financial records.
To support the management and dissemination of research information, including the creation and maintenance of the group website, as well as matters related to intellectual property.
To handle ad hoc tasks related to the research project and the lead PI's academic activities.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Core Competencies:
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage schedules, meetings, and deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication skills, including clear writing and professional correspondence.
Solid administrative capabilities, including document preparation, record-keeping, and coordination.
High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in managing ad hoc tasks and last-minute changes.
Proficiency in digital tools, including Microsoft Office and project management platforms.
Prior experience in administrative, secretarial, or coordination roles is preferred.
Experience supporting research projects or academic staff, with a basic understanding of grant management and reporting processes, is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and develop solutions under tight timelines meticulous with strong attention to detail excellent organizational and time management skills.
