Responsibilities:
1. New Business Exploration, Development & Project Management
- Develop the Automotive Value Chain business such as Aftermarket, Used car, Finance and other initiatives in Singapore and Southeast Asia in cooperation with Japan HQ, strategic partners or subsidiary companies
- Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the Automotive Value Chain business, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and market trends.
- Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities including conducting of comprehensive feasibility studies to assess potential risks and returns.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders and departments to secure necessary approvals for new initiatives and investments, fostering a culture of teamwork and alignment
2. Manage and Support Subsidiary and Joint Venture
- Manage the subsidiaries or joint venture and relationship with strategic stakeholders.
- Manage the subsidiaries budget, regularly review business unit financial performance and communicate with stakeholder properly.
- Oversee regional sales activities including managing distributors in respective countries to achieve desired goals and targets
- Manage overall department and countries performance on Sales, P&L, Revenue Accountability with monthly analysis with agreed budget
- Provide expertise in product/brand management which focus on driving branding/marketing strategies that result in successful products/brands launches
- Analyse potential markets, competitors positioning, and customer buying patterns to project demand/profitability of potential products, key product features/requirements, and favourable timing for product launches etc.
- Perform strong strategy thinking on pricing activities to strategize product introductions in respective markets
- Establish policies and governance in the business to be in line with company's rules and regulations
- Collaborate with Department Heads to identify areas of improvement and collaborations needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from reputable local or international universities from relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of significant experience in business development, project management, marketing and sales, pricing, logistic/supply chain management.
- Minimum 5 years of field business experience in Auto distributor or Auto value chain industries, preferably with digital technology
- Minimum 5 years of Toyota Production System (TPS) and Just in Time (JIT) for managing field operation is essential
- At least 2 years of working experience in after-sales management, demonstrating a deep understanding of aftermarket parts industry, customer service and support processes.
- At least 2 years of working experience in Southeast Asian Countries preferably in Thailand or Malaysia.
- Strong in logical thinking, result oriented and focus on details, be able to handle multiple projects, prioritize arranging tasks and schedules to deliver outcomes on time.
- Pro-active working attitude, strong sense of task ownership, and positive teamwork spirit is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation, effective communication, open minded and positive attitude to coordinate among external partners and internal group companies.
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office software, especially MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Able to travel overseas especially to Southeast Asia countries depending on requirements (once a month), accept short lead time preparation upon customers request.
- Proficiency in the Japanese language to communicate and manage relevant stakeholders effectively would be advantageous.
